The Horticulture Teaching and Research Center is located 3 miles from MSU's main campus. The majority of the projects works with fruit, vegetables and ornamental teaching and research projects.
Job includes entering bills into computer, paying bills, procuring equipment, general cleaning, running errands, safety updates and etc...
A lot of variety in this job. There is some field work in addition to the office work, i.e. fruit and vegetable picking, transplanting, watering garden/landscape.
Willing to work indoors and outside. Knowledge of computers and office programs are helpful. Ability to learn on your feet is a benefit in this position.
Typical workday is 8am-4:30pm, Monday - Friday.
This is a summer position with the potential to continue on throughout the school year.
- Computer experience: email, MS Access, MS Excel (Preferred)
- Driver’s license. Transportation to and from work
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work independently and in groups.
