EMPLOYMENT NOTICE
TITLE OF POSITION: Assistant Superintendent
COURSE NAME: Olympia Fields Country Club
DUTIES: All forms of general golf course maintenance, fertilizer and pesticide calibration and application, irrigation repair and installation, drainage repair and installation, pest scouting and monitoring, supervision of staff.
COURSE OPERATION: 36-hole Private membership
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Olympia Fields Country Club is a private club founded in 1915, located on the southside of Chicago and is comprised of two championship golf courses. The North Course, designed by Willie Park Jr., has hosted two PGA Championships, a number of Western Opens Championships, the 1997 US Senior Open and two US Open Championships, the 2015 U.S. Amateur, the 2017 WPGA Championship as well as both the 2020 and the 2023 BMW Championship. The South Course, originally designed by Tom Bendelow, has hosted many state wide events and along with the North Course and both are ranked in the top ten in the state of Illinois. The club has just completed a renovation of the South Course and is looking into a North Course renovation.
SALARY: $58-60,000.00 with an annual performance bonus

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited turf school. I would prefer an individual to also have at least three to four years of golf course experience and within a couple of years be able assume the duties of Superintendent of the one of the courses. I am looking for a motivated self-starter who would like to work in an environment that is both stimulating and challenging.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT: Must be able to provide valid documentation establishing legal right to work and be able to pass a drug screen. Must also possess a valid driver’s license with no DUI convictions in the past five years and agree to a criminal background check.
