JOB OPPORTUNITY:  SEASONAL HORTICULTURIST

Full time, Approximately Late April through September

 

Laurel Voran LLC is a small landcare company based in Empire, Michigan. We create and maintain landscapes and shorelines that support nature’s systems and reflect our region’s natural beauty. We work on public and private sites.

 

Work includes:

  • Protecting Michigan Monkey-flower, an endangered species endemic to Michigan.
  • Monitoring and manual removal of invasive plant species.
  • weeding, deadheading, and general ornamental garden maintenance. (we do not mow lawns).
  • Establishing new plantings that highlight native species.

Compensation:

  • competitive hourly wage
