SUMMER HORTICULTURE INTERNSHIP

Calling all plant people! The Garden Chef LLC is looking for interns to assist us during our 2023 season. We are a small company that has a close relationship with our 60 or so clients in the Grosse Pointe area. If you are passionate about unique gardens and love to work hard then this internship will be perfect for you. You will be working directly with the company's lead designer who is a 2019 MSU Horticulture Graduate as well as with the owner who is highly experienced in the landscape industry.

Internship tasks will include:

Assisting in Design work (this includes residential and commercial properties)

Creating annual pots and displays for clients

The planting of a variety of perennials, shrubs, and trees (we are very into pollinator gardens)

Maintaining our clients' existing gardens (weeding, trimming, planting, etc.)

The ability to assist in the building of water features (ponds and fountains)

The chance to learn how to install landscape lighting

Interns will be paid $15/hr and be typically expected to work 8am-4pm Monday-Friday.
