Upon discovering the outstanding nutrition of hemp seeds in 2008 our journey began. Our mission: To Provide Better Access to Better Healthful Food Choices. Since 2009, here at L & J Enterprises, Inc., we’ve been spreading the goodness of hemp seeds. Cousin Mary Jane is our brand ambassador. We traveled coast to coast providing education and advocating for U.S hemp farming. We spoke before the Michigan Agriculture Committee in 2014 in relation to hemp seed nutrition for the Michigan Hemp Bill. Our brand Lady Jane Gourmet Seed Co has been a steadfast vendor at the Detroit Eastern Market since 2014; all before plant-based protein and gluten free were much of consumer’s concerns. We’ve recently made a change to Lady Jane; she’s becoming Lady Jane Plant Based Foods to give a better description of what we’re all about. Covid did slow down our new branding introduction, but be assured, we are here to stay. More than ever, people are ready to embrace the healthy eating options hemp seeds provide. (We’re also introducing a new brand Better Option Foods) Our new logo and packaging carries excellent shelf appeal and will give consumer confidence in choosing our nutrient dense food products. Not all hemp seeds taste the same! We know this. Only specific hemp plant varieties produce sweet tasting hemp seeds. Our experience and longevity in the marketplace has given us the advantage in connecting with suppliers who provide us with the best tasting hemp seeds. You will taste the difference. Many of our products are friendly to Vegan, Paleo and Keto dietary choice plans. We have 10 major SKUs with a few more SKUs for size variation. All products are Gluten Free and Plant-Based Protein carrying 20-amino acids. All products are Soy Free, Nut Free, Whey Free. Most are Low to no-sugar; Dairy and Corn Free, but we’re not free of taste. The company has completed all necessary tests on their products and use the 2016 nutritional values. Their products contain GS1 barcodes. The company currently has placement in a few retail establishments across Michigan and currently self distributes.
