The Marks Trading Company Story

Our company started in 2017 after a visit to a market in Columbus, OH. We visited the local market and shopped at a spice shop. We thought that maybe we could do something like this. Upon returning home our daughter was reading the back of a taco seasoning package and could not pronounce the words. We realized that we did not know what the ingredients were either. This is where the idea of The Marks Trading Company. Since 2017, we have gone from the cottage food industry to selling retail on our website and being a wholesale supplier for Busch's. We have graduated from the Launch Lenawee entrepreneur program and continue to support that endeavor. We are continually expanding our offering and are looking for new retail partners.

The Marks Trading Company Products

We offer over 160 different trial size spice blends, single spices, salts, and dried herbs. Our products are hand blended with no additives or preservatives. We have salt free and organic items available. Our package size is approximately one tablespoon which is just right for most recipes. Also, one tablespoons will season one pound of protein.

The Marks Trading Company products do not require testing and do not use the 2016 nutritional values. Their products contain GS1 barcodes. The company currently has placement in a few retail establishments across Michigan and self distributes.
