Michigan SARE Travel Scholarship Michigan SARE Travel Post-Event Evaluation Michigan SARE Travel 6-12 Month Follow-Up

Each year, Michigan is eligible to receive funds from the North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NCR-SARE) Professional Development Program. The program was created by the 1992 Farm Bill, and defines the target audience for the professional development program as agricultural professional, including extension educators, Natural Resource Conservation Service staff, state and federal agency workers and educators in the profit and not-for-profit sectors serving the food and fiber system.

Sustainable agriculture educators, professionals, and practitioners are encouraged to apply these funds (up to $500) to assist in experiencing professional development opportunities that increase their knowledge level, enhance their work, and develop their communication skills.

After the event, applicants are required to complete a post-event evaluation form and a 6-12 month follow-up form in order to see how the professional development experience became integrated into work.
