Soil Testing Information

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our county MSU Extension office has reduced its in-person office hours.

Community members interested in purchasing a soil sample kit can order one online. Community members interested in dropping off soil samples for testing can mail their samples in a resealable zipper storage bag directly to the lab. Mail the sample, along with a completed informational sheet and payment, to:

MSU Soil & Plant Nutrient Laboratory
Plant and Soil Sciences Building
1066 Bogue Street, Room A81
East Lansing, Michigan 48824-1325

Checks should be made out to MSU for the correct payment according to the fee schedule. For more information, visit the MSU Soil and Plant Nutrient Laboratory website.
