Another fun filled day!!

Farm Maps

Campers let their imagination sore with creating their own farm map! They got 10 acers to work with and their stewards helped their group brainstorm what they wanted to add.

Stick Horse Craft

These turned out so cute! They took a wooden stick, added a stuffed sock, and put eyes, ears even a nose onto it!

Leading and Tying horseshoes + cleaning the horse arena

Miss. Diane brought campers over to the arena today to see Sesame. A few campers cleaned the arena and the pasture too. Others learned how to lead a horse once they have their tack and reigns on. They learned that it’s important to stay on the right side of a horse, so you don’t startle them.  

Nutrition

Horses have a diet that consists of mainly grass and hay. Miss. Deb talked about the horse’s immune system as well and even showed them the difference between hay and straw.
