Additional post-emergence herbicide in field corn

It has come to my attention that Yukon herbicide, a premix of halosulfuron and dicamba, was inadvertently left out of A-434 Weed Control Guide for Field Crops and the herbicide update earlier this spring. I wanted to give some information on Yukon for those interested in using it this season. Yukon is a postemergence herbicide targeting broadleaf weeds and nutsedge in field corn from spike to 20 inches tall with broadcast applications. Corn can be treated up to 36 inches tall if drop nozzles are used to ensure coverage of weeds. A tank mixture of YUKON Herbicide plus glyphosate may be used for Glyphosate Tolerant (GT) corn hybrids for additional activity on tough to control weeds and to provide residual control.
Yukon can be applied at 2 to 8 oz/A alone or tank-mixed with glyphosate at 0.56 to 1.125 lbs. a.e./A. If the glyphosate formulation selected does not contain an adjuvant system, the addition of nonionic surfactant (NIS) at 0.25% v/v will improve consistency of control. The addition of ammonium sulfate (AMS) at 8.5 - 17 lb/100 gal spray mix.
