As part of Be a Tourist in Your Own Town, the Department of Entomology's Bug House will host a free open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015.

As part of Be a Tourist in Your Own Town, the Department of Entomology’s Bug House will host a free open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015. In addition to viewing the amazing, colorful pinned displays, kids and adults can get up close and personal with a whole room of awesome insects, including handling a few of the larger species! 

Be a Tourist in Your Own Town showcases Greater Lansing’s attractions, special events and tourism suppliers to local residents. An estimated 15,000 residents and visitors come out to enjoy the day. This day allows event participants to visit as many as 70 local attractions and one-day only special tours that include: Impression 5 Science Center, Potter Park Zoo, the State Capitol Building, the Michigan Historical Museum and so much more!
