CANR names budget officer

Audree Baxter has been named budget officer in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). She replaces Cindy Warnell, who is retiring near the end of March after 42 years with Michigan State University (MSU).

Audree Baxter has been named budget officer in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). She replaces Cindy Warnell, who is retiring near the end of March after 42 years with Michigan State University (MSU).

Baxter has worked on campus for 20 years and is moving from the Broad College of Business, where she spent the past eight years as budget officer. Prior to that, she served in a human resources capacity in the Broad College of Business. 

“Cindy Warnell provided many years of dedicated service to the college and has been a tremendous asset to CANR and MSU.  We congratulate Cindy on her much deserved retirement,” said Kelly Millenbah, associate dean and director in the CANR. “Likewise, we are thrilled to be welcoming Audree to the college and think she will fit seamlessly with rest of the team.”

Baxter spent three years working on the university’s Enterprise Business System. Baxter She started her tenure at MSU as a senior financial analyst in the Controllers Office. 

Baxter has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan-Flint. She will begin with the CANR on March 24.
