Recipients of this award make contributions to the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources on a state, national or international level.

Carol Fosburg is the academic program coordinator for the Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resource (CANR). She has worked at MSU for nearly 50 years.

Greeting new IAT students and welcoming back alumni is her specialty. As one of her nominators said, “Carol didn’t only do her job, she made sure each student adjusted to college life, had a friendly face when classes got tough or when missing home. I witnessed her making a difference in the lives of Ag Tech students.”

She has been recognized with the IAT Outstanding Staff Member award in 1995 and the first-ever CANR Outstanding Staff Member award in 1997. In 2010, she was the recipient of the Clerical-Technical Award in honor of Thomas and Concettina Gliozzo.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, Denny, and their children, Matt and Jessie, and being grandma to five grandchildren.
