forest-based carbon and resilience, the role of forests and forest products in carbon storage and sequestration and the resistance, adaptation and resilience of forests in changing environments.

FCCP Director, Chad Papa, organized a panel titled “Informing Forest Carbon Management and Policy through Integrated Modeling Approaches” that brought together leading ecosystem modelers including Dr. Kyla Dahlin (Michigan State University, Dr. Jiquan Chen (Michigan State University), Dr. Li An (Auburn University), Dr. Zutao Yang (Auburn University), and Dr. Sanjiv Kumar (Auburn University) to discuss how recent advances in ecosystem models, tools, and data can be used to inform forest management and policy from local to international scales.

The conference also featured two days of field tours that included visiting a local property enrolled in a carbon market program, a cross-laminated timber facility, and the Jones Ecology Center.
