Eastern Michigan fruit update

A quick update for those growing fruit in Eastern Michigan

April 14, 2011 - Author: Bob Tritten,

Apple growers in several parts of east Michigan are beginning to see green tissue in apples, and others will see it very quickly here. With first green tissue comes the beginning of our first sprays of the season for apple scab control. You may want to read Bill Shane's article, Copper formulations for fruit crops .

For strawberry growers now appears to be the time to uncover strawberries as our season is finally breaking loose.

Look for my next report on Tuesday, April 19th.
