  • Francisco X. Aguilar is a Professor at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences’ Department of Forest Economics. Prior to moving to Sweden he was an Associate Professor at the University of Missouri where we was named the 2017 Brady J. Deaton Fellow. He has received Gilbert F. White and Joseph Fisher Fellowships by RFF. He currently leads the United Nations’ Economic Commission for Europe -Team of Specialists on Wood Energy.

Description 

The forest industry, from the procurement of fibers to the manufacturing and utilization of final products, has a major role in forest carbon dynamics. David and Francisco will examine the full set of carbon dynamics associated with forest product markets and discuss an ongoing assessment of carbon pools within procurement landscapes of the expanding US wood pellet industry.
