Breakfast on the Farm gives consumers and farm neighbors a firsthand look at modern food production, and the farm families who work hard to produce a safe, wholesome food supply for Michigan communities and beyond. The program began in 2009 in Clinton County when Tony and Patti Jandernoa of Dutch Meadows Dairy hosted the inaugural event which was attended by 1,500 visitors. Since then, over 83,000 people have attended a Breakfast on the Farm.

The program is made possible by the generous support of local and statewide sponsors. Statewide sponsors for the 2017 BOTF events include:  Corn Marketing Program of Michigan, United Dairy Industry of Michigan, Michigan Wheat Program, Michigan Farm Bureau, Michigan Farm Bureau Insurance, Michigan Foundation for Agriculture, GreenStone Farm Credit Services, Dairyland Seed, Michigan Milk Producers Association, Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee, Dairy Farmers of America and Crystal Flash.
