GreenStone Farm Credit Services invests in agricultural education by supporting Farm Bureau Pavilion expansion at MSU
The concourse at the Farm Bureau Pavilion has been officially renamed in recognition of GreenStone’s gift commitment.
Michigan State University’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) announced a gift agreement with GreenStone Farm Credit Services, a member-owned rural lender based in East Lansing, Michigan.
GreenStone’s contribution will directly support the future expansion of the Farm Bureau Pavilion, a high-traffic venue that hosts more than 100 agricultural, youth and commercial events annually. The facility welcomes over 100,000 visitors each year and contributes more than $7 million to the local economy.
Planned upgrades to the Farm Bureau Pavilion include the addition of a second indoor arena and expanded exhibition space, enabling concurrent events and enhancing the facility’s role as a center for agricultural innovation, education and community engagement.
The Farm Bureau Pavilion concourse has been officially renamed the GreenStone Farm Credit Services Concourse in recognition of GreenStone’s support.

“We are deeply grateful for GreenStone’s continued partnership and investment in the future of Michigan agriculture,” said Matt Daum, Dean and Associate Provost of CANR. “The Pavilion is so much more than a campus building, it’s a community hub. A vibrant space where young people fall in love with agriculture and learn about future career paths. GreenStone’s extraordinary support ensures this facility remains a vital resource for producers, youth and rural communities across our state.”
“The GreenStone Farm Credit Services Concourse reflects more than our name. It represents over a century of service and financial support to our rural communities,” said GreenStone President and CEO Travis Jones. “We’re incredibly proud to continue our partnership with CANR. We are honored to be a part of a space with such a robust history of community partnership and connection to agriculture.”
The Farm Bureau Pavilion, originally constructed in 1996, was renamed in 2024 following a gift agreement between MSU and the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies. The Pavilion has long served as a cornerstone of Michigan’s agricultural community, hosting events such as the Spartan Stampede Rodeo, Michigan Livestock Expo and numerous 4-H and FFA programs. It also hosts a variety of commercial events including the Lansing Home and Garden Show and Mid-Michigan RV Show.
GreenStone’s naming of the Farm Bureau Pavilion concourse reflects its enduring commitment to Michigan agriculture, our rural communities, and its partnership with MSU in advancing agricultural education and outreach.
