Congratulations to the Food Science Product Development team!

The Michigan State University Food Science Product Development Team was selected to compete at the 32nd Annual Institute of Food Technologists Student Association & Mars Wrigley Confectionary Product Development Competition. As part of the Institute of Food Technologists 2022 Conference in Chicago from July 10-13, 2022, the competition gave the team the opportunity to compete against other university teams and showcase their hard work. The competition receives submissions from all over the globe, and requires students to present new products while detailing full development from concept through production and marketing. 

The Michigan State University Food Science Product Development team received honorable mentions for their innovative product, Care Free Ice Cream. Developed by the team over the past year, Care Free Ice Cream is made from oat milk, date paste, strawberry, canola oil, cocoa powder, agar, gluten free flour, chia seeds, and vanilla extract.
