Concept Statement

Our coffee shop will be a gathering space for visitors and citizens of St. Johns, MI. It will have a Bohemian aesthetic with a complimentary color scheme of green and red against bold patterns to create an energetic atmosphere. Lounge furniture with soft materials and neutral finishes will make our coffee shop feel more like home. Universal design will be used to accommodate a wide age range. Over time, our coffee shop will become a staple in the St. Johns community where locals and visitors alike can be comfortable and enjoy our coffee.

Project Profile

Our coffee shop will provide comfortable seating for up to (amount) of guests to relax and promote lingering. The space will be an authentic atmosphere where people will feel as if their experience is unique and one-of-a-kind. Our coffee shop will be technology-friendly by incorporating wireless Internet and outlets placed throughout the space. The space will spark all senses through the rich smell of brewing coffee, textures of finishes and materials, ambience of soft lighting, sound of background music, and delicious taste of authentic coffee and bakery items. The space will bring the community together by having bulletin boards and local artist displays in the area. Durable and soil-hiding materials will be used to keep the coffee shop looking clean. St. Johns’ Mint Festival culture will be incorporated through a specialty mint coffee and dessert available only at our coffee shop.
