John C works on ShadeLab's synthetic community (SynCom) system to explore how stress impacts microbial interactions that are mediated via released metabolites. He also studies the dynamics and mechanisms of co-evolution between two antagonistic microbial strains, a Burkholderia and a Flavobacterium.

On account of COVID19 closures, MMG is not going to be holding its spring awards reception.  But, we in ShadeLab are all celebrating for John C by dancing like fools in each of our separate living rooms.

Hooray for John C!  Well-deserved!
