As the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Food Security Policy Research, Capacity, and Influence (PRCI) nears the end of its fifth year, it will hold its second in-person Global Gathering on March 6-8 at the Ronald Reagan Building and international Trade Center. This event will bring together PRCI partners across the US, Africa, and Asia; USAID personnel, and other USAID collaborating partners to hear assessments of the Lab’s multiple components, hear presentations of selected empirical research conducted under the Lab, engage with panelists on many topics, interact and reflect in working groups, and distill lessons learned for future design of programs to build locally-owned, sustainable capacity for applied policy research with impact. The 2.5-day event will close with a high level panel of USAID, MSU, IFPRI, and African and Asian center leaders sharing their views on “What it means for USAID and its partners to “stay the course” on localization and local capacity strengthening for strong policy research and engagement?”
