Looking to sell your Michigan goods and services?

Pure Michigan Business Connect is the gate keeper to thousands of Michigan companies.

Have you thought about expanding your Michigan business and don’t know where to start? The Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) has developed an online initiative called Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC). This multi-billion dollar public/private tool connects local and global purchasers to suppliers of Michigan goods and services at no cost to the business. PMBC also connects global companies looking for joint ventures or R&D partnerships with qualified Michigan partners.

This is an opportunity to put your company in front of thousands of potential clients. All it takes is five minutes to register your company, identify a key contact person and begin receiving the benefits of being connected to your peers, buyers and suppliers throughout the state.

The company information and keywords from your business profile are used by MEDC and other registered users of the site to match your business expertise with customers. This also works in reverse, if your business has a need, you can search for other registered Michigan companies to fulfill your purchasing needs. The PMBC website also features links to programs and free business services as well as information on upcoming Supplier Summits.

Michigan State University Extension partner Northern Lakes Economic Alliance (NLEA) has been promoting this tool to companies for the past few years. As a result of the Consumers Energy Supplier Summit, Moran Iron Works, a custom steel fabricator in Northern Michigan, secured a $19 million contract.

Michigan State University Extension has had a unique relationship with the regional economic development organization Northern Lakes Economic Alliance (NLEA) for more than 20 years. Recognizing the strength of combining resources, this partnership focuses on economic development, entrepreneurship growth and community infrastructure throughout a four-county region in the northwest Lower Peninsula, specifically Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan and Emmet counties. As a result, the NLEA utilizes resources offered through MSU Extension as it provides leadership to state-wide programs sponsored by MSU Extension.”
