The company information and keywords from your business profile are used by MEDC and other registered users of the site to match your business expertise with customers. This also works in reverse, if your business has a need, you can search for other registered Michigan companies to fulfill your purchasing needs. The PMBC website also features links to programs and free business services as well as information on upcoming Supplier Summits.
Michigan State University Extension partner Northern Lakes Economic Alliance (NLEA) has been promoting this tool to companies for the past few years. As a result of the Consumers Energy Supplier Summit, Moran Iron Works, a custom steel fabricator in Northern Michigan, secured a $19 million contract.
