Making It In Michigan Conference and Trade Show coming to Lansing in April 2023
Join us for Michigan’s specialty food manufacturers premier event.
The Michigan State University Extension Product Center is planning to host the 14th annual Making It In Michigan (MIIM) Conference and Trade Show on April 20, 2023, at the Lansing Center.
The Trade Show, powered by a partnership with Pure Michigan Business Connect (PMBC) and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), will feature over 160 vendors of quality Michigan-made food, beverage, and agricultural products. This one-day trade show provides a key opportunity for new Michigan companies to network with buyers across the state.
"We are excited to host this year’s Making It In Michigan Conference and Marketplace Trade Show,” said Mollie Woods, director of the Product Center. “The Trade Show always has a strong base of Michigan manufacturers and excellent buyer activity.”
Anticipating over 300 participants, Making It In Michigan will bring together Michigan entrepreneurs, retailers, consumers, government representatives, university colleagues, and more with the sole focus of growing Michigan’s economy.
“The Making It In Michigan Trade Show is a great way to get your product in front of serious buyers from across the state,” said Andrew Chmielewski, founder and owner of Dave's Sweet Tooth. “It was the perfect springboard to raise awareness for our new toffee line.”
In addition to gaining traction with retailers, up-and-coming food businesses also have a chance to network and learn from each other. The morning session of the Making It In Michigan Conference will feature a keynote speaker from the packaging industry and five panels on topics that will ignite food manufacturers.
Each year, the MSU Product Center recognizes clients with special awards at the annual conference. Join us during lunch for the special awards presentation and to watch a video highlighting these value-added business entrepreneurs.
