During last week's Michigan Winter Potato Conference in East Lansing, the Michigan Potato Industry Commission (MPIC)  recognized the contributions of Joe Coombs with the Distinguished Service Award.

Coombs is a longtime member of the potato breeding team at Michigan State University. He is key in mining data and helping make the best possible decisions for the industry. “Yes Joe Coombs is my right-hand man” Dave Douches says. Joe did his MS with Dave in the 1990s and has been an integral part of the program since. Congratulations Joe!
