EAST LANSING, Mich. – Bridget Paff has joined Michigan State University Extension as director of development, a fund-raising position that will help the organization expand programming and education opportunities. Paff was most recently a development officer for the MSU College of Arts and Letters.

“Traditionally, we have relied on our federal, state and local partners to fund our educational programs ranging from agriculture to community and economic development, and health and nutrition to youth development,” said Jeff Dwyer, director of MSU Extension. “Having a development director focused on helping our 600 employees build relationships with potential donors throughout the state allows us to build on our already successful programming.”

Paff is a 30-year veteran of MSU. Her career in development began in 1997 when she was an administrative assistant with the athletic fund development group.

“People who had their lives changed for the better because of their involvement with the university were eager to give back,” Paff recalled. “That fascinated me. I decided that I wanted to help people leave a legacy by giving them an opportunity to invest in programs they believe in.”

From there, Paff worked her way through the ranks of MSU University Advancement where she helped the College of Arts and Letters raise more than $22 million in 10 years.

“I look forward to building relationships with faculty and staff members in MSU Extension so we can have a similar impact all over Michigan,” she said.

Paff, a second-generation Spartan, holds two degrees from MSU – a bachelor’s in political science and a master’s in business administration. She and her husband live in East Lansing, where they raised their two adult children.
