Weekly fruit management meetings are an opportunity to share information and see samples of current pest concerns.

Weekly fruit pest management meetings are held at Bjorge’s Fruit Acres in Berrien County.  These meetings will begin Monday, April 4, and run until June 27. The meetings generally run from 5 to 6:30 PM.

During the meeting, MSU Extension regional fruit educators Bill Shane (tree fruit), Mark Longstroth (small fruit) and Diane Brown (Berrien County Commercial Horticulture Educator) will share with growers the findings of their scouting, the current fruit situation and discuss current pest management issues.

Meeting dates are: April 4, 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 26, June 6, 13, 20, 27.  Two RUP credits for RUP recertification are availble for each meeting. For more information check the Monday Update page at the Van Buren MSUE website.
