Fessler & Bowman, Inc., a Michigan-based and nationally recognized leader in concrete and civil infrastructure services, recently announced the appointment of Justin Park (’05, Construction Management) as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

A 2005 graduate of the Construction Management (CM) Program in the School of Planning, Design and Construction, Park was selected after a comprehensive five-month national search process and brings over two decades of industry leadership to his new role.

“Stepping into the role of Chief Operating Officer at Fessler & Bowman is a proud moment for me, both professionally and personally,” said Park. “My time at Michigan State University—and especially the Construction Management program—laid the foundation for how I lead, collaborate and build. I’m honored to carry the spirit of Spartans Will into this next chapter of growth and service.”

“Justin is an extraordinary example of the impact CM alumni are making across the construction management industry,” said Robert M. Aydukovic, Teaching Specialist and CM Program Director. “At the CM Program, we take pride in developing career-ready graduates who are not only equipped to enter the workforce but prepared to lead it. Justin exemplifies this commitment, and we’re excited to see his continued advancement and leadership in the industry.”

Park began his career with Wieland Corporation. He later served as Chief Operating Officer at Casco Contractors, where he led significant operational growth and team development over six years. His relationship with Fessler & Bowman began in 2008, when he served on the project management team on a major paper mill project in Shreveport, LA, and collaborated with Fessler & Bowman as the concrete specialty contractor.

“As a people-focused organization, this decision is about the team and for the team,” said Jim Malenich, Fessler & Bowman President and CEO. “Justin’s appointment reflects our commitment to providing every team member with the leadership, support and mentorship they deserve. His experience and character make him the right person to lead our operations and support our people.”
