MSU Nutrient Management Plot Tour on September 10, 2014

Nutrient management plot tour will highlight applied agronomic research and Michigan State University fertilizer recommendations.

Michigan State University Extension will be hosting the annual Nutrient Management Plot Tour on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the MSU Plant Pathology Field Lab, 3735 North College Road, Lansing, MI 48910.

This event will feature MSU Extension soil scientist Kurt Steinke, Extension educators and other speakers.  A wide range of applied agronomic research topics including fertilizer best practices, soil health, cover crops and soil compaction will be covered.  Research projects funded by the Michigan corn, soybean and wheat check-off funds will be on display.  MSU fertilizer recommendations will be discussed. 

This program is intended for farmers, crop consultants, educators, researchers, federal and state officials and Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) professionals.  It will provide hands-on demonstrations and closer interaction between MSU researchers, fertilizer service providers and farmers.
