In April and May of 2015, Room 443 in the Natural Science Building was converted and added to the museum space to house the Collembola collections of Dr. Richard Snider and Kenneth Christiansen. Together, these collections comprise one of the most significant collections of North American Collembola species anywhere. New cabinets and shelves were added to house the slide and alcohol portions of the collections. Work space is now available for Dr. Snider and visiting scientists to curate and continue working on the taxonomy of this group, with many new species awaiting description.
