Our Farms Our Future Conference announced

Sustainable agriculture conference to be held in St. Louis April 3-5, 2018.

Our Farms, Our Future. An appropriate title for a once-in-a-decade conference that will serve host to salient discussions about sustainable agriculture. Farmers and ranchers, educators, researchers, policy makers, non-profit organizations, government officials and others will convene to discuss innovations in sustainable agriculture and how they can improve the environment, enhance profits and maintain the fabric of America’s rural communities over the coming decades.

The conference will include multiple plenary sessions, farm tours and educational workshops. Of note, current and former United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) personnel will be on hand to participate in a plenary panel entitled: “Envisioning the next 30 years of Sustainable Agriculture”. Rural and urban farm tours will highlight innovations in the sustainable agriculture realm in and around St. Louis. With multiple breakout sessions, food and farm policy discussions, poster sessions and film screenings, the conference is certain to be a worthwhile learning experience for all attendees. 

The conference is being co-hosted by the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program and the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT/ATTRA), a national non-profit organization that provides timely information to sustainable agriculture stakeholders.
