Search begun for Associate Dean and Director for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) is pleased to announce the search for the Associate Dean and Director for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

The Michigan State University (MSU) College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) is pleased to announce the search for the Associate Dean and Director for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 

This position was recently posted on the MSU Human Resources website (http://careers.msu.edu/cw/en-us/job/496127/associate-deanmanagement). Consulting firm Witt-Kieffer is recruiting for this position. 

This Associate Dean and Director for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, advises the Dean on matters related to inclusion, diversity, and equity and, with delegated authority from the Dean, directs the strategic development and implementation of the overarching diversity and inclusion agenda for the College. The Associate Dean and Director is a member of the Dean's leadership team, which includes associate and assistant deans, directors, and department chairs and school directors.

Kelly Millenbah, associate dean and director, is serving as chair of the search committee. 

WHAT’S OUR TIMELINE?

An estimated timeline:

·      Early June = position posted

·      June to mid-August = recruitment

·      Late-August = search committee identifies candidates for Zoom interviews

·      Mid-September = search committee holds Zoom interviews to narrow pool for on-campus interviews

·      Mid-October = on-campus interviews

·      Mid-November = recommendation to the Dean

Millenbah anticipates bringing candidates to campus in early to mid-October.  At that time, there will be opportunities for people to engage with each candidate.  Please look for those details as in early October.
