EmailThe Snares to Wares team is excited to announce that they have officially opened their online store!
Snares to Wares is a community-based conservation initiative dedicated to improving human livelihood and protecting wildlife in and around Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda. This project simultaneously transforms human lives and addresses the problem of wildlife poaching by empowering local artisans to repurpose wire snares into sculptures of the wildlife that would otherwise fall victim to snaring. Proceeds from the sale of these sculptures flow directly into the community to sustain these transformations.
The Snares to Wares team is excited to announce that they have officially opened their online store! Partnered with the MSU Surplus Store, snare art sculptures can now be ordered online and shipped to anywhere in the U.S. With this new platform, the team strives to be able to support more artisans through the increased sale of art to the MSU community and beyond. By purchasing a snare art piece, you are helping to ensure the continuation of the regular earnings that these artisans receive,as well as helping to improve the livelihoods of themselves and their families.
