SPDC is accepting applications for the 2019 Peter and Linda Riguardi Travel Fellowship
The MSU School of Planning, Design and Construction is pleased to announce that we are accepting application for the 2019 Peter and Linda Riguardi Travel Fellowship.
This exciting opportunity is made possible by a gift made to Michigan State University by Peter and Linda Riguardi, which enables SPDC students to gain firsthand knowledge of major urban planning development projects through site visits around the world.
Last year, the inaugural fellows traveled to San Francisco, CA, and attended a five-day program conducted by JLL. The students visited sites in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.
This year, the selected fellows will travel to New York, NY, Aug. 18–22, 2019, for a program conducted by JLL, where they will visit The Hudson Yards and The World Trade Center.
The fellowship is open to junior undergraduate students majoring in Construction Management, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture and Urban & Regional Planning. ASLA Honor and Merit Award Nominees will be given preference. Other 4th and 5th year Bachelor of Landscape Architecture students are also eligible to apply.
Students will be selected based on GPA and a statement of purpose on how they think they will benefit from attending professional presentations and site visits in New York City. Transportation, lodging and admissions are covered.
The application deadline is Thursday, April 18, 2019. Contact Linda Nubani, Interior Design assistant professor, with questions about the fellowship and to submit an application.
