Every year, they recognize extension professionals and partners with awards during this event to celebrate the work of individuals and teams. This year, the Placemaking Team was nominated and received the Institute Team Award for their work and partnership with the MIplaceTM Partnership Initiative. The team developed the Placemaking Curriculum and trained more than 15,000 local officials, and authored the 600-page guidebook on Placemaking as an Economic Development Tool.
