The Alliance for African Partnership

The Alliance for African Partnership is a new initiative at Michigan State University that will develop a collaborative and cross-disciplinary platform for addressing today’s global challenges.

The Department of Community Sustainability was represented at the recent launch of the Alliance for African Partnership, held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, July 18-20, 2017. Participants included (from left) CSUS alumnus Dr. Felix Kwame Yeboah, CSUS PhD student Ebenezer Offei Ansah, and Associate Professors Dr. Laura Schmitt Olabisi, Dr. Daniel McCole, and Dr. Robert Richardson.

The Alliance for African Partnership is a new initiative at Michigan State University that will develop a collaborative and cross-disciplinary platform for addressing today’s global challenges. The Alliance promotes innovative modes of collaborative research and partnership with African institutions to address emerging challenges in today's world. The Alliance will innovate new models of engagement for shared research, while enhancing the resources and capacities of African universities, institutions and scholars.
