KebbiStateCapaBuildingDuring the week of August 6, 2017, the Policy project organized a two day training on “Introduction to Stata” for Planners, Policy Analysts, Heads of Departments, and Directors of the Kebbi State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Kebbi State Agricultural Development Programme. The Training modules were delivered by Mr. Wale Ogunleye, the pioneer PhD Scholar of the Policy Project’s Visiting Scholars Program who returned from Michigan State University in May 2017) in collaboration with Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, a Nigerian Faculty. The training was preceded by opening remarks from the Permanent Secretary, Kebbi State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; who also attended the training. The Director Planning Research and Statistics, Kebbi State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Director, Project Monitoring and Evaluation of the Kebbi State Agricultural Development Programme also attended the training. Participants were exposed to the usefulness of STATA for policy research and how to use the software package for policy research.
