Volunteers engage in the 4-H Volunteer e-Forum

EmailConnect with the best during the 2015 North Central Region 4-H Volunteer e-Forum.
The 4-H Volunteer e-Forum is happening this fall and you can be a part of it! We are seeking 4-H volunteers, parents and individuals to be a part of these great sessions in their hometown or county. You can be a part of one or all of these fun session by participating with us live through Adobe Connect. If you want to do more than just participate, you could involve your 4-H club or group and host an event. We make it fun and provide a facilitators guide. All you need is a computer and reliable Internet connection, and a projector and screen are optional, depending on the size of your group.
We are offering three great sessions with each session being offered live twice so you can pick the time that works best for your group (times listed are Eastern Standard). The sessions stand alone so you can offer one or all of them and volunteers can attend one or all of them. Sessions are free and provide great training to our volunteers by experts in the field.
The Heart of Belonging will be offered Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. In this session, adults will learn to guide youth in developing expectations that will accommodate all members to support youth with special needs and discover resources to help you in your role as a caring adult volunteer. Participants will complete this session and leave with activities that will help them foster positive behavior, belonging and inclusion in their club or committee. Our second session is The Heart of Community on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. or Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. Volunteers in this session will be prepared to help youth find their voices as they become actively engaged in their communities. This session will include resources and models to incorporate mastery, belonging, generosity and independence as you include citizenship activities in 4-H settings.
Our series will wrap up with Encouraging the Heart of Leadership on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. or Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. Young people do not magically become leaders at age 13! Leadership is nurtured from their first 4-H experience. You’ll receive tools to help inspire youth of all ages to discover and develop independence and mastery.
