Welcome Dr. Jisun Lee

Welcome to Dr. Jisun Lee, who joins us as an assistant professor of interior design!

SPDC is excited to welcome Dr. Jisun Lee as a new faculty member. She is joining us as an assistant professor of interior design. Her educational and professional background make her an extremely exciting addition to our school.

After earning her Ph.D. in interior architecture and built environment from Yonsei University in South Korea, she was a postdoctoral researcher in Human Centered Design (Formerly Design and Environmental Analysis) at Cornell University. Professionally, she practiced interior design for 15 years as an interior designer and project manager in South Korea for many international and national clients.

Prior to joining MSU, she served as an assistant professor in the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas.

Her expertise from her educational and professional experiences will be a great asset to the SPDC interior design program.

“Dr. Jisun Lee is a well-rounded scholar whose expertise is in the areas of healing space design, technology integration, and evidence-based design. Dr. Lee impresses me the most by her significant industry experience in addition to her research development. Our students will benefit from Dr. Lee’s integration of practice and research in teaching. I look forward to her joining and excited about her contribution to the Interior Design Program and school,” said Ming-Han Li, Director of the School of Planning, Design and Construction.
