ShadeLab welcomes new Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center Keegstra Post-doctoral Fellow, Dr. Marco Mechan-Llontop to the team!

Marco graduated from Virginia Tech this winter, completing his dissertation research on phyllosphere microbiology with Professor Boris Vinatzer.  He is going to spearhead ShadeLab's new GLBRC collaboration with Prof. John Mullet's lab at Texas A&M University to investigate the microbial ecology of sorghum phyllosphere microbiota, with an emphasis on plant-microbiome interactions in the stem wax and nodal mucilage.
