David Marvin, Deputy Director of Licensing Division, Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

In December 2018, a number of significant changes were made to the Michigan Liquor Control Code related to manufacturing. Some of the changes include a definition of manufacturing, creation of the On-Premises Tasting Room Permit, Off-Premises Tasting Room and Joint Off-Premises Tasting Room Licenses, requirements for the transfers of wine between licensees and provisions that allow for the transfer of shiners between licensees.

In order to help wine manufacturers understand the updated law, representatives from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission’s Enforcement and Licensing Divisions will present the details of changes at an informational session on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Northwest Michigan Horticulture Research Cente, 6686 S Center Hwy, Traverse City, MI 49684

Come learn what the changes in the law mean for your operations as a wine producer and have an opportunity to pose your questions about the law directly to Commission staff.
