Your MSU Account vs. Your ANR Account

As an MSU and CANR/MSUE employee, you will receive two different accounts. MSU provides you with an account name called a NetID. ANR uses this NetID to create an ANR account for you.

MSU provides you with an account name called a NetID. This provides you with an email address of netid@msu.edu and allows you to access many MSU services including:

  • EBS
  • DotCMS
  • Email and Calendar Services (Office 365)
  • Google Apps
  • VPN
  • CampusAD Domain Computers
  • Data Storage
    • SharePoint
    • Elastic Storage (es.msu.edu)
    • FileShare (fileshare.msu.edu)

ANR uses this NetID to create an ANR account for you. This allows you to access ANR services including:

  • ANR Domain Computers
  • Events Management
