NEW Ogemaw County 4-H SPIN Club!!

The 4-H Future Naturalists: Birds of Prey club is now accepting enrollments. Join me to learn all about birds of prey - from eagles to vultures and everything in between! Activities will include owl pellet dissection, art projects, games, tips for identification, and hopefully a zoom with some LIVE raptor ambassador animals*! Current 4-H members can contact me and I will enroll your youth for you, and new members can contact me and I will help you go through the enrollment process. When? Tuesdays at 4:30pm, beginning June 7th

Where? At the MSU Extension office! 205 S 8th St, West Branch, MI 48661

*due to the avian influenza, most groups are not traveling with their ambassador birds so for the safety of the animals we may not get to see them in-person

NEW Ogemaw County 4-H partners with West Branch District Library to bring you programming for the summer of reading - the theme is Oceans of Possibility! 

Biologist and Ogemaw County 4-H Program Coordinator, Enya, will be offering four programs at the West Branch District Library throughout June and July as part of the Oceans of Possibilities summer reading program!

When? 

Tuesday June 14th - Turtle Tuesday: Sea Turtles - 12:30pm

Tuesday June 28th - Turtle Tuesday: Michigan Turtles  - 12:30pm

Thursday July 14th - Ocean Voyagers - 11:00am

Thursday July 28th - Coral Reefs: Underwater Cities  - 11:00am

The Ogemaw County 4-H Hunting & Wildlife club is now accepting enrollments. Join me to learn all about hunting & wildlife! This discipline of 4-H Shooting Sports introduces the history of hunting, wildlife identification (scat, skulls, fur, calls, etc.), habitats, animal tracks, safety in the outdoors, camouflage and more over the course of 6 weeks! Activities will range from outdoor games to art to take-home scavenger hunts and more! Current 4-H members can contact me and I will enroll your youth for you, and new members can contact me and I will help you go through the enrollment process.
