Ajmir Khan, completed his Ph.D. in 2019 from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. His specialization was in "organic synthesis and reaction methodologies using hypervalent iodine." He also visited Michigan State University (MSU) as a visiting scholar during his Ph.D. and worked on smart-coatings and polymer synthesis.

Dr. Ajmir Khan joined Michigan State University School of Packaging as Research Associate where he is working on various projects such as:

  • Chemical and mechanical recycling of plastics.
  • Self-healable and self-cleanable coatings.
  • Paper coatings for packaging applications.
  • Synthesis of functionalized polymers.
