Amanda Flores is a doctoral candidate in the Higher, Adult and Lifelong Education program at Michigan State University. Her graduate assistantship is with the Office of Undergraduate Research at MSU. Amanda has over 8 years of experience working in student affairs and higher education with a concentration in diversity and inclusion work. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Vermont. Amanda’s research interests include the college experiences of migrant farm-working students and their families. With these experiences and research interests, Amanda enjoys connecting with students through presentations on how to navigate college and create mentoring opportunities for students interested in graduate school.
