I am a PhD student in Dr. Marisol Quintanilla-Tornel's Applied Nematology Lab. My project focuses on controlling plant-parasitic nematodes, specifically the northern root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne hapla, on daylilies. I will be investigating alternatives to soil fumigation for managing nematodes in the soil. Very little research has been completed on plant-parasitic nematodes in daylilies and I am excited for my project to contribute to nematode management in the ornamental industries.
