I earned my B.S. in Animal Science with a concentration in Animal Biology from Michigan State University in 2019. Since beginning as a laboratory assistant in the MSU Aquatic Animal Health lab in 2017, I quickly discovered my passion for fish health and disease ecology in freshwater. Immediately after receiving my B.S., I was given the opportunity to continue my venture at the Aquatic Animal Health lab as a graduate student. My research is investigating the health of Great Lakes lake sturgeons and the implications of Great Lakes emerging or endemic pathogens in juvenile and adult populations. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to the development of disease management strategies in the Great Lakes basin.
