April is pursuing a double major in Economics and Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics. Her major field of study is Environmental and Resource Economics and her minor field is Food and Agricultural Markets.

April’s dissertation research focuses on water regulations, non-market valuation, and policy adaptation. She studies on-site water systems and public water systems to better understand how resource management impacts stakeholder behavior.

April also contributes to interdisciplinary research teams estimating consumer preferences. At present, she and her co-authors are investigating the attributes U.S. consumers value for seafood and leafy green products.

April taught Ecological Economics for five semesters and regularly engages in pedagogy workshops to build her toolkit as an instructor.
