Background:

Bart Gorgoglione is currently an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at Michigan State University’s Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory in a joint appointment between the Departments of Pathobiology and Diagnostic Investigation at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries and Wildlife at the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Gorgoglione’s research applies to fish virology and parasitology. It focuses on polymicrobial infections with relevance for wild and farmed fish species. Gorgoglione currently serves as the President of the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association and the Chair of the WAVMA Education and Student Committee.
