Dr. Bernard Zandstra has been a member of the Department of Horticulture at Michigan State University since 1977. His research with herbicides is an integral part of the information growers request year in and year out. He retired in 2019 but continues to conduct research as a professor emeritus while aiding Dr. Sushila Chaudhari in weed control research.

The Herbicide/Weed database is an interactive tool to assist in herbicide selection. Users can select from multiple options, such as crop type and weed species, to determine which herbicides could help with their particular weed control needs.
This database is intended to be a resource for choosing herbicides: it is not a replacement for any information contained on labels. Always check product labels before applying herbicides to any crop.
The database can be accessed at: https://herbicides.hrt.msu.edu
